Madison, WI, USA, 5 March 2016 - The light fresh snow that fell overnight rendered the ground pure and white when His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived at Deer Park Buddhist Center this morning. About 300 people, mostly Tibetans and Americans gathered to greet him.

Seeing so many happy faces His Holiness chose to get out of his car and walk up the drive, returning smiles and shaking hands as he recognised old friends in the crowd. Tashi Shölpa dancers and Tibetan youngsters offering ‘Chema Changpu’ completed the traditional welcome. While he is in Madison, His Holiness will give a short teaching on Geshe Langri Thangpa's ‘Eight Verses for Training the Mind’ and take part in a panel discussion about cultivating well-being in ourselves, our communities and the world.
