Dharamsala, India, 7 January, 2010 - On January 4th, 2011, His Holiness the Dalai Lama took part in an online video conference at his official residence in Dharamsala. During the interaction, His Holiness responded to questions posed by three Chinese intellectuals - writer Wang Lixiong from Beijing, Human Rights lawyer Teng Biao from Shenzhen, and Beijing-based prominent lawyer Jiang Tianyong.

Although the individuals participating in this discussion were unable to meet together physically, they were able to see and talk to each other through the medium of the internet. The two Chinese lawyers asked His Holiness three questions each from the pre-selected 319 questions, in addition to one question each of their own. The questions and answers were relayed through His Holiness's Chinese Twitter account (@DalaiLamaCN) and Wang Lixiong's Twitter account (@wlixiong) and Teng Biao's Twitter account (@jtyong).
