Auckland, New Zealand, 4 December 2009 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in New Zealand to a colourful welcome from 200 or more wellwishers at Auckland Airport.
Shortly after arrival, His Holiness met with the Leader of the Opposition, Phil Goff (Lab) together with co-chair of the Parliamentary Lobby Group for Tibet, Darien Fenton (Lab).
Tomorrow His Holiness will have a round of meetings and interviews before giving a public talk to 6000 or more on the topic 'A Peaceful Mind'.
His Holiness' arrival was met with heavy rain, but this is due to clear for the weekend.
