Note: Below is the public schedule of His Holiness the Dalai Lama both in India as well as abroad. Please note that for many of these events, tickets are required in order to gain entrance. People are requested to contact the organizers directly or visit the websites given below for further information on tickets. In general, most of the events in India are free where as the majority of events abroad require paid tickets. For your information, as a long-standing policy His Holiness the Dalai Lama does not accept any fees for his talks. Where tickets need to be purchased, organizers are requested by our office to charge the minimum entrance fee in order to cover their costs only. Please note that the below dates are subject to change. 

2016

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India from June 1 to 3: His Holiness will give teachings on Domthonpa's A Tree of Faith - A Self-Exhortation from Book of Kadam (rang-gyu kul-ma deb-pa de-pey jon-shing) on the mornings of June 1 to 3 to Tibetan youth at the TCV School Auditorium. Please note that the teachings will be held indoors where seating will be reserved for registered students only. Members of the public wishing to attend can sit outside the auditorium where the teachings will be broadcast on a public address system.

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India from June 7 to 9: His Holiness will continue his teachings from Chapter 4 of Shantideva's Bodhicharyavatara (chodjug) at the request of Nalanda Shiksha. Contact Email: shantideva2016@gmail.com

Public Talk in Westminster, CA, USA on June 18: His Holiness will give a public talk on The Power of Compassion as Key to Accomplishing Greater Values to Self and Others in the morning at the new Dieu Ngu Temple.

Teaching in Westminster, CA, USA on June 18: His Holiness will give a Buddhist teaching including conferment of a Medicine Buddha Empowerment in the afternoon at the new Dieu Ngu Temple.

Inauguration Program in Westminster, CA, USA on June 19: His Holiness will participate in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Dieu Ngu Temple hosted by Venerable Vien Li. He will also participate in a talk with Vietnamese Youth attending the Grand Opening Ceremony.

Public Talk in Salt Lake City, UT, USA, on June 21:  His Holiness will give a public talk on Compassion and Universal Responsibility organized by the University of Utah in partnership with the Utah Tibet Foundation at the Huntsman Center. Public Talk in Indianapolis, IN, USA, on June 25: His Holiness will give a public talk on Compassion As a Pillar of World Peace organized by the Indiana Buddhist Center in partnership with the Center for Interfaith Cooperation and Compassionate Indy at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Tickets will be released on Friday April 29, and available at Ticketmaster.com.

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India from August 29 to September 1: His Holiness will continue his teaching from Chapter 2 of Nagarjuna's The Precious Garland of the Middle Way (uma rinchen trengwa) at the request of a group from Asia including Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam at the Main Tibetan Temple.

Mind & Life Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium from September 9 to 11: There will be a two and a half day Mind & Life Dialogue on Power and Care with leading experts in science, economics and religion to be held at the Bozar Center for Fine Arts organized by Mind & Life Europe. Teaching in Strasbourg, France on September 17 & 18: On September 17, His Holiness will give a one-day teaching on Nagarjuna's Commentary on Bodhicitta (jangchup semdrel) and on September 18 morning His Holiness will confer an Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang) organized by the Federation of Tibetan Buddhism.
