H.H. the Dalai Lama Meets with Himalayan Buddhists

Sarnath, UP, India, 11 January 2009 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama addressing approximately 6000 Buddhist devotees from the Himalayan regions at a separate audience for them during the fourth day of his teachings.  His Holiness stressed the importance of their role in preserving their traditional Buddhist culture and spirituality while at the same time focusing on the need to receive a modern education.  His Holiness also briefly talked about the need to protect our environment as well as taking care of one's health.

Dharamsala, HP, India, 21 July 2014 (Hindustan Times) - Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamsala from Delhi after concluding the 33rd Kalachakra teachings at Ladakh. Around 200,000 devotees from 73 countries attended the Kalachakra held from July 3 to 14. During the course of the teachings, the Dalai Lama had called for religious and social harmony among different communities in Ladakh.
