Teachings in Dharamsala for a Group from Mongolia

Dharamsala, India, 22 December 2007 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama giving teachings at the main temple at the request of Gandanthegchenling Monastery of Ulan Bator, Mongolia.  His Holiness will be confering the Jigjey (Yamantaka) Initiation on December 22 and 23 followed by three days of teachings on Lama Choepa (Guru Puja). On December 27 a long life offering ceremony will be held.

He spoke to them briefly: "Tibet is known as the Roof of the World, but also as the Land of Avalokiteshvara. We Tibetans have our own language, with its own writing, which is the best medium for accurately explaining Buddhist teachings."
